Breast Implant Illness

There are many women who choose to have breast augmentation with saline or silicone implants to help enhance their self-image or as reconstructive surgery after breast cancer.  Regardless of the reason to why, many of these women suffer with a long list of chronic complaints that lead them from one specialist to the next with many of the extensive workups being unrevealing.  

Breast Implant Illness (BII) signs and symptoms can be different for everybody.  Any time you have anything foriegn in your body, it's instinct is to attack it and get rid it, and or it can become a place that collects and harbors bacteria, fungi, and mold.   It is important that women whom maybe experiencing BII be evaluated by a provider that knows the correct screening and detoxification protocols and be assessed by a surgeon familiar with BII and appropriate explant procedures and pathology testing.
